VeVe Lane vs Orlandoe: Wrestling vs Striking (June 2012)

Recently, Orlandoe commented that she had a great talent for striking. VeVe, however, maintained that she doesn't mind taking a few hits in order to lock up with an opponent.

And so, by special request, VeVe and Orlandoe go head-to-head in a wrestling vs striking bout! Here are the rules:

Round 1: VeVe can only attempt grappling submissions. Orlandoe can attempt submissions by grappling AND striking.
Round 2: VeVe same conditions. Orlandoe can ONLY attempt striking submissions.

Punishment: Whoever gets the most submissions after 2 rounds gets to use her favorite attack on her opponent, unresisted, and afterwards strike a victory pose.

Round 3: "Higher Stakes" Bonus Round. Same conditions as Round 1. Except now striking submissions are worth 2 points, and grappling subs are worth 1. This encourages more strikes to be thrown.

Legal strikes: Kicks, punches, knees, elbows to the body. Slaps to the face. Legal subs: all.

It's a dynamic and athletic bout between two strong fighting women. Deft submissions, impressive sweeps and reversals, and very real, hard body kicks and punches.

VeVe Lane: 5'4" and 120 lbs
Orlandoe: 5'5" and 130 lbs

Match running time: 30 minutes

The ladies respectively wear red and white in Round 1-2. In Round 3, they both wear black.
Only 1 minute of rest is allowed between rounds.
